Welcome to my home ground !
I am a PhD student in Geodynamics in the Department of Earth and Climate Sciences (ECS) at IISER Pune, with a CSIR-MoES JRF fellowship.
My research interests lie in Solid Earth Geophysics and Geodynamics, with a particular focus on crustal evolution, lithospheric deformation, and plate-boundary dynamics. I use geodynamic modelling, thermodynamics, and empirical approaches to investigate the physical state and evolution of the Earth's interior.
In particular, I focus on constraining the thermochemical structure of the lithosphere by analyzing density perturbations and thermal profiles. My broader goal is to integrate mineral physics and multiobservable geophysical data into a unified framework that explains the processes governing plate deformation and lithospheric evolution.
Before starting my PhD, I completed a 5-year Integrated BSMS Dual Degree Programme with a major in Geological Sciences at IISER Kolkata. I subsequently worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Earth and Climate Sciences at IISER Pune from August 2024 to July 2025.
